You describe the app.
We build it and keep it running.

ClarityIP builds custom software for small businesses and individuals who know what they need but don't want to build it themselves. Fixed prices, a working prototype in a week, and a care plan so it never quietly breaks.

Two engineers, forty-plus years of shipping software between them, and four apps live on the App Store. No sales team, no hand-offs. You talk to the people who write the code.

How it works

Three steps from idea to App Store

Most app projects go wrong in the first two weeks, when nobody has agreed what "done" means. We front-load that work so the build is boring and predictable.

1

Tell us what you need

A free 30-minute call. You describe the problem, who uses the app, and what it must do on day one. We tell you honestly whether it's worth building and roughly what it will cost.

2

See it before you commit

In one week you get a clickable prototype you can tap through on your own phone, plus a written scope and a fixed quote for the full build. If you stop here, you keep everything.

3

We build, ship, and look after it

Four to six weeks later your app is live on the App Store, Google Play, or the web. Then the care plan keeps it updated, monitored, and working through every OS release.

Packages

Fixed prices. No surprises.

Every project starts with the Prototype Sprint. It's cheap, it's fast, and it means the build quote you get is a real number rather than a guess.

One week · Start here
  • Two working sessions with you
  • Clickable prototype on your phone
  • Written scope: what's in, what's out

How care works
Founding clients

Three spots at 20% off the Launch Build

We're new, and the first three projects matter more to us than the margin. Founding clients get the Launch Build from $6,000$7,500, the same scope, the same timeline, and the same care plan afterward.

In return we ask for three things:

  • A named testimonial once your app is live
  • A short case study on this site, with screenshots you approve
  • An introduction to one other business you think we could help

3 of 3 spots open. When they're gone, standard pricing applies. The Prototype Sprint is still the first step, and still credited in full.

The fine print, up front

What's included and what isn't

Clear lines keep projects on budget. Anything in the right-hand column can be added, but it will be quoted separately.

Included in every Launch Build

  • Design, development, and testing on real devices
  • Your own Apple and Google developer accounts, set up with you
  • Backend hosting set up in your name (you own it)
  • Source code delivered to you at launch
  • Privacy policy and store listing text
  • A short handover video showing how everything works

Quoted separately

  • Payments and subscriptions (Stripe, in-app purchase)
  • Integrations with third-party systems or hardware
  • Custom illustration, branding, or video
  • Large data migrations from an existing system
  • Apple, Google, and hosting fees (paid directly by you)
  • Changes to the agreed scope after the sprint
Care plan

Apps don't stay finished

Every year Apple and Google change the rules. Certificates expire, libraries go stale, a new phone size appears. An app nobody is looking after stops working within twelve to eighteen months.

The Care Plan is how we make sure that doesn't happen to yours. It also gives you a standing three hours a month for the small things: a new field, a wording change, a report you wish you had.

What $250 a month covers

  • iOS and Android version updates and re-submissions
  • Crash and error monitoring with alerts to us, not you
  • Backend, database, and certificate upkeep
  • Up to 3 hours of changes each month (unused hours don't roll over)
  • One business day response, faster for outages
  • Larger changes quoted at a fixed price, at plan-member rates

Questions

Things people ask before the first call

Who actually builds the app?

David Perkins and Will Nolan, the two partners behind ClarityIP. Between them, forty-plus years of shipping software, including four apps through App Store review. Modern AI tooling lets two experienced engineers deliver what used to take a full team, which is why the prices are what they are.

Do I own the app?

Yes. The Apple and Google developer accounts, the hosting, and the source code are all in your name from the start. If you ever want to take it elsewhere, nothing is held hostage.

Can you really build almost anything?

Most business and personal apps, yes: bookings, forms, checklists, customer portals, internal tools, catalogs, simple games, dashboards. Things we'll tell you to look elsewhere for: high-frequency trading, medical devices, anything that needs a 24/7 on-call team on day one.

What if I already have a design or a half-built app?

Bring it. The Prototype Sprint becomes a review and a plan instead of a blank-page exercise, and the build quote reflects what's already done.

How do payments work?

The Prototype Sprint is paid up front. The Launch Build is half at kickoff and half at launch. The Care Plan is billed monthly by card. Everything goes through Stripe, so you get proper invoices.

What about ongoing costs?

Apple charges $99 a year and Google a one-time $25 for developer accounts. Hosting for a typical small app runs $0 to $25 a month. We set all of it up in your accounts so you see the bills directly.

Tell us what you need

A few sentences about the app you have in mind is plenty. We reply within one business day with honest first thoughts and times for a call.
